Evinrude E-TEC direct-injection two-stroke outboards offer more torque, lighter weight, lower emissions, better fuel efficiency and lower maintenance costs than comparable four-stroke outboards. More Grunt and Speed
With two-stroke technology, every stroke is a power stroke. That translates directly to more torque.The E-TEC 150 produces 34% more torque than the Yamaha F150.The G2 likewise delivers the most torque in its class.
Less Maintenance
Unlike four-stroke outboards, which need maintenance every 1 year or 100 hours, E-TECs need to be serviced just every 3 years or 300 hours (every 5 years or 500 hours for G2 models). That means more money in your wallet and more time on the water.
More Power per Pound
Most E-TEC models are significantly lighter than four-stroke competitors, which means shallower draft and quicker planing. The 90 hp E-TEC, for example, is 79 lbs. lighter than Mercury's 90 hp four-stoke.
